Creative Resourcing, a specialist recruiter working within the manufacturing sector are currently seeking Logistics Practitioners to work for one of our prestigious pharmaceutical clients.


  • The purpose of this multi-functional role is to operate across the areas within the warehouse. 
  • The Logistic Practitioner will process and coordinate deliveries; ensure production needs are met throughout BFS (BlowFill Seal) and PFS (Pre-filled syringe) by picking /replenishing components and product in a timely manner and plan/ prepare goods outward movements to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

In order to achieve this, the Logistic Practioner will

  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing, control and management of all goods inward transactions and movements including document completion.
  • Understand the BFS/PFS operational plan; and pick,replenish, load and store product and components to ensure the production plan is met.
  • Plan, prepare goods outward movements; coordinating with Logistic Coordinator and Logistic team leader to ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of finished product including document completion
  • To troubleshoot and resolve warehouse issues in a quick and effective manner, to contribute to the achievement of site performance targets.


1) Training:

  • a)Your own, make sure you are up to date with SOPG/WI and TARs and that they arepresent within your training file
  • b)Make known any training requirements and attend training sessions when provided
  • c)Provide training to other members of your cell or shift as required

2) Functional duties

(a)Inward transaction

  • Process all deliveries within a timely manner in accordance with company processes.  Perform a suitable handover with oncoming shift.
  • Coordinate all finished goods sample requests from receipt to dispatch in cooperation with operational Cell Team Leaders.
  • Ensure documentation is completed in real-time and filed accordingly to meet compliance requirements.
  • Ensure any problems or issues are communicated effectively and corrective actions are robust to ensure requirements are met.

b) Operational 

  • Pick, replenish, load and store components/product to facilitate the production plan in BFS/PFS.
  • Perform SAP transactions and physical movements of stock accurately and in a timely manner
  • form cycle counting, to measure stock accuracy and investigate any inaccuracy of records.
c) Outward transaction
  • Plan / prepare goods outwards movements including liaising with Logistic team leaders to ensure accurate loading and dispatch of finished goods.
  • liaise with transport carriers (where required) to arrange / schedule collections to meet customer needs
  • Ensure documentation,including invoicing is completed in real-time accurately
  • Assist with accurate keeping of stock and their records.

3) QIR/CAPA/Docs for warehouse related problems.

  • Ensure logbooks are completed fully in real-time to clearly document any issues or breakdown/repair completed within warehouse.
  • Where applicable complete QIRor CAPA with full details to enable the Logistic team leader to make the correct assessment of risk for the finished packed batch.

4) Develop and support CIs through use of visual management boards.

(5) Health and Safety

  • Be vigilant to identify EHS issues (near-misses, unsafe conditions) and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain awareness of EHS requirements (SOPs, Risk Assessments etc.)
  • Always think about your own safety and the safety of your colleagues.
  • Liaise with waste disposal vendors to ensure comply with company policy.
  • e) Maintain housekeeping levels to company standard.


  • Level 3 qualification - NVQ3, BTEC National, C&G L3 in Logistics / engineering or scientific field.
  • Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment (although not essential).
  • FLT license would be desirable.
  • Ideally competent in SAP processing.
  • Proven experience in a progressive high speed environment.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry (Pharma, Hi-tech or FMCG)
  • Excellent communicator, motivator and team player.
  • Able to deliver high performance standards.
  • High Attention to detail required.
  • Technical and problem solving aptitude that can be applied to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical warehousing or cold chain logistics in a suitable environment (e.g. food).


  • Our client is offering a salary of £21,600 inclusive of shift allowance coupled with an excellent remuneration package.
